Meet at Garstang Golf club at 08.30am for a full Bike Check and Canoe Induction.

Leaving the village, you then head for the Inn at Whitewell and have a go at crossing the river Hodder over the steppingstones. After this you then head for the quaint little village of Dunsop Bridge for a well earned coffee and cake break, and also a picture with the telephone box which is according to ordnance survey is the centre of the British Isle’s.
Now you are fuelled up, you will head out and start to climb up the Trough of Bowland, climbing this hill is not a race and you get up at your own pace in a safe manner and as this is a leisure tour there is no shame in walking the hill. Once at the top the effort is worth it for the views and the great decent down to the river Marshaw Wyre which you follow to the hamlet of Lee.
Once over the bridge in Lee you go around two sharp bends before you start the climb up to Jubilee Tower. At the top of the hill you have the views of the Lake District and Morcambe Bay and on a good day the Isle-of-Man. You descend down to the village of Quernmore where you will head west and back to Garstang via Scorton where you will stop for a beverage and cake before heading back to the hotel for a much-needed rest before your canoe adventure the next day.
